For God's Gift I Pray

Each day I long for her
Every day apart is an agony.
The incandescence of her smile
fills me with awe and inspiration.
I am empowered by the brightness of her being,
overwhelmed by the serene faith of her spirit
The conviction of her trust
in the G-d of her affection.

We may be separated by the oceans
so I pray only for her good.
Whatever may be shared between us
or whatever is her lot
may it be the supreme happiness
that she, as G-ds gift to the world,
may shine her good to all.

The more my love grows for her
the harder the distance is to bear.
The more painful the separation,
the more cutting the pain.

Perhaps I am unworthy of such a blessed faithful soul
a companion so perfect in her devotion
Without who the world would be empty
without her besides me,
it is as if the world is alone.

Hear me, my love as I call for you,
answer my plea for your call.

No matter the distance between us
our spirits are bound as one.
My very thought is of you and for you.
You, my faith, my soul,
are my only consolation.
You, my love, my sweet dear heart,
you alone are the reason for my life.
