In the pursuit of love there is the ever present risk of rejection, so it is so easy to settle for discontent.
Your soul mate is surely an illusion that will never be there for you. Someone else perhaps – you wish them well, but for you why chase a delusion?
Skepticism has an alluring appeal. It removes us from responsibility. If everyone else marriage fails then why should I try?
People seem gleeful when the famous fail in love, or are unfaithful. The media loves it and milks it for all its worth. If they can’t succeed, then how can I make it? It’s not my fault. Love is simply the luck of the draw.
Rather than see the good in someone who fails we cast him aside in his entirety. A blanket ban on his life allows us to ignore our own needed self analysis.
True love requires investing your entire soul. It is not, it cannot, be half hearted. Chasing the illusions of materialism, can inspire progress, it is perhaps a good thing that our desires grow forcing us to expand outward and upward.
However, without the bonding meaning found in love and purpose it becomes a shallow illusion.
By seeking the eternal bond, the divinity and value found on the lover, true love stands against the season skeptic of rejection.
Rejecting the implied guarantee of failure hidden in skepticism, true love transcends the diminishing tactic off sarcasm. Love knows no restriction, it seeks the good.
Love lifts the spirit of the crushed and finds in the disheartened distractions of escapism a call for help. A call for meaning and in that search we find our purpose.
Our purpose in filling a need in a person yearning for meaning and solace. A meaning and goodness that can be found in the most minute, even trivial things.
In love the answer is always yes. Perhaps the yes must take a different course than our lover desires. However, in seeking her good there are no bounds.
Love is the ultimate gift. Love is the answer, because in love, there is always a greater good to gift and to serve.
