More than one in four women aged 35 and over ‘never’ have sex, according to a UK survey.
For 28 per cent of these women, making love is a thing of the past.
The survey of 745 women, aged 35 to 64, found that 41 per cent of childless women had orgasms most of the time. But just 12 per cent of mothers with one child achieved sexual satisfaction, compared with 14 per cent of mothers with two children.
Women working part-time have more orgasms (67 per cent) than full-time workers (57 per cent) according to the survey released t promote The Secret Guide To Women’s Health, on Sky Real Lives of Britain.
The research highlighted women’s fears about the menopause and found that 42 per cent of the women polled have battled depression.
“So many women are suffering from health problems they don’t want to seek help for because they think it’s embarrassing. The show will provide a platform to discuss problems they can’t talk about with friends” said anchor woman Coleen Nolan.
Non British research repeats the same story;
- Half Of Women Would Not Call for help If Having Heart Attack because they do not know the symptoms in the USA
- 73 Percent of Women Unaware of their Current HIV Status and have a false Sense of Security Preventing them from Taking Control
- Doctors Need More Knowledge About Exercise And Pregnancy according to a study by the American College of Sports Medicine.
Coleen hopes to show women how important it is to talk openly about the issues affecting them.
“I hope that women sitting at home watching the programme, thinking they’re the only one with this problem, or those who have been too embarrassed to mention it to anyone, might recognise the symptoms and think that does sounds like me, I do need to go and sort this out” she said.
“It is reassuring to hear doctors telling you to not be embarrassed, because they aren’t embarrassed. They only look at you in a medical, professional way” said Nolan.
“They’re not going to look at you and think, oh god her boobs are terrible! They won’t criticise you in any way. Hopefully, if it only helps one woman who watches, then it’s worth doing.”
