Shared moments of affection and love help build a passionate loving sex life. It is no wonder then that coffee has developed a reputation for meaning much more than a pick me up.
Sadly it seems that Magic Power Coffee is accused of adding a little more than caffeine to arouse the passions.
An instant coffee product marketed as a dietary supplement for sexual enhancement it contains a chemical similar to Viagra that can react with other drugs to cause dangerously lower blood pressure.
“Because this product is an instant coffee labeled as an ‘all natural dietary supplement,’ consumers may assume it is harmless and poses no health risk,” said Deborah M. Autor, director of FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, Office of Compliance.
“In fact, Magic Power Coffee can cause serious harm.”
To be fair, the FDA is not aware of any adverse events caused by Magic Power Coffee and the distributors have voluntarily recalled the product.
Magic Power Coffee contains hydroxythiohomosildenafil, a chemical similar to sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, states the FDA.
Hydroxythiohomosildenafil, like sildenafil, may interact with prescription drugs known as nitrates, including nitroglycerin, and cause dangerously low blood pressure.
People with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease are often prescribed drugs containing nitrates, and men with these conditions commonly suffer from erectile dysfunction
While this is considered by doctors in prescribing medications for ED, the failure of claimed natural remedies to reveal the ingredient is a serious risk.
Magic Power Coffee is distributed on Internet sites and online auctions by multiple independent distributors participating in an online multi-level marketing scheme.
Perhaps the most aphrodisiac quality of coffee, is the stimulant caffeine and the beautiful wamth of cuddling up together with a warm drink in front of a warm fire and your imagination.
