A New Zealand woman discovered that modesty can be good for your health.
Flashing her breasts on the roadside, a male driver was so distracted he ran her over, reports New Zealand’s Southland Times.
Cherelle May Dudfield, 18, from Invercargill appeared in the Invercargill District Court and admitted to the charge of disorderly behavior.
She admitted the charge.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Rob Mills said that on September 27, egged on by her friends the drunk Dudfield had stood in the middle of the road flashing her breasts at passing motorists.
A man was so distracted that he ran her over.
Dudfield attempted to run from its path, but rolled over the bonnet and cracked the windscreen. Dudfield was not injured.
The fact that passing cars were slowing down to watch the scene probably saved her life, said Sergeant Mills.
Duty solicitor John Fraser described Dudfield’s actions as “stupidity in the extreme”, but questioned whether the driver could have been more careful. However, Mr Fraser conceded the driver could have been “distracted”.
Judge Holderness fined Dudfield $275 describing her actions as dangerous adding she was lucky the consequences were not more severe.
It seems that Cherelle has learned her lesson.
‘Don’t be stupid, don’t get drunk and don’t stand in the middle of the road and flash anyone” she said on New Zealand TV.
“because it hurts when you get hit.”
