No matter how much it hurts you, or makes you cry
tries your spirt, and splits your soul.
Love is always worth it…because what doenst kill you

And however long it takes

Werent afraid to make mistakes, choices and try again.
And…above all, loved someone no matter what people thought.
You would die for that person…but you would also live for them.
That…is the true meaning of love…

Do you agree with him?

1. We love you girls, really. It’s just that saying it out loud seems either freakish or gay and whilst we’re trying to be the metrosexual men Cosmo tells you we should be, the truth is we’re still pretty insecure about these things. So when we make a crass comment about your breasts it’s often because we simply don’t feel comfortable saying something simple like, “you look beautiful today.”

2. If we say, ‘do you want a hand with that,’ when you’re clearly struggling with something like a jar’s lid, there’s no double meaning. We’re not making fun of you because you’re weaker than us; we’re just being nice. Take a simple gesture as it was intended.

3. You don’t like to nag; we don’t like to be nagged. So let’s leave it. It’ll be done when it’s done.

4. We do make fun of you a lot; it’s true. But most of it whether it is a literate rant about how insane you are or simply a seemingly snide jab at your appearance is a sign of affection. Look at how we treat our male friends; we insult each other, argue with each other and then buy each other a pint. This is how we express true friendship. If you don’t get the drink though, odds are we do actually dislike you.

5. While on the one hand you seem obsessed with making us into ’21st century men’ obsessed with waxing, fine dining and manicures, on the other you profess your attraction to both hulking specimens of raw manhood and also skinny students with bad facial hair. Is it any wonder we get confused as to how you want us to act?

6. We know you like attention but leading us on by flirting without intent is just mean. We really are too stupid to work out you just want to be friends by picking up on ‘signals.’ Tell us straight. Then flirt with us anyway because after you’ve said it properly, our hopes are no longer up and it’s still good fun.

7. If we have to change for the modern world, so do you. Let’s hear it for equal rights and mutual respect. Alongside this, let’s hear one of you ask us out more than once in a blue moon because we’re getting tired of doing all the leg work, ladies.

8. Lots of us like sport. Some of us like it a lot. So let’s say we make a deal. You have your girly nights every now and a while. Plump down and watch Sex and the City. If Kim Cattral has a sex scene we may even watch it with you. In return though, let us have the football on at the weekend. This really is one of the important things in our lives.

9. We want to impress you; more than this we want you to tell us we’ve impressed you. Trouble is, we think you’ll be impressed by the things that impress us, namely prowess in sport, biting wit or any other generic display of masculinity. We simply don’t understand why you don’t appreciate these things as much as we do.

10. We have bloke nights out so understand completely when you want to go downtown with the girls. But do you honestly expect anyone to hit on you when you’re surrounded by the chattering nancies? Fair enough, you might not want to go out alone, but a solitary friend once in a while, eh? Is that too much to ask?

11. After we have an argument with you and retreat into a moody silence, it’s because we don’t want a lengthy confrontation so don’t complain about it; would you rather we just shouted at you instead? We’ll come around eventually with a casual and unrelated question at which point you know we want to move on. You could even consider this an apology in some situations.

12. Okay, if you’re now moaning about real apologies, it’s different for us than it is for you. All you have to do is flutter your eyelids, purse your lips and say, ‘sowee’ in a falsetto voice. We can’t do that and a level toned ‘sorry’ either sounds nonchalant or just pathetic.

13. Telling you how we feel is not easily done. It’s hard enough when we’re with our close male friends. The unspoken rules of manhood dictate that we may only display three emotions in public: Anger, Surprise and Joy, all buttoned with obscenities. Getting past this is far from easy, however stupid it may seem to you. Telling someone we’re upset… Well that’s nigh on impossible.

14. Men are problem solvers by nature. What this means is when you tell us your woes, we’ll tell you how to deal with them whether you want us to or not. We may not always be right, but we believe in action so if you want a sympathetic ear, find a girl. We know the answer to your troubles and if you won’t listen then that’s your own problem.

15. Apologies in advance for staring at your breasts. Most of the time we honestly don’t know we’re doing it. That being said, if you wear a plunging neckline and low slung necklace, you’re really asking for it, aren’t you?

16. When we’re attracted to you, it’s because of who you are at the moment and we expect the same in return. Don’t get with us because you see, ‘the man we could be.’ Don’t try and make us change because we’ll resent you for it and the subsequent failure will hurt us all.

17. We’ve made a plan, here’s the plan, let’s follow the plan and for God’s sake don’t be late! You wanted to do the shopping today so let’s get it over and done with. Now.

18. If you want something, ask for it. Don’t drop hints, don’t be subtle. You should have guessed now that we either can’t or won’t indulge in such behaviour.

19. You know by now that showing emotion isn’t easy for us so you should get that when we say, ‘I love you,’ we want to mean it. When we’re ready we’ll come out with it but don’t force it out of us because then the phrase is worthless and who wants that? While we’re here, the phrase, ‘I fucking love you,’ whilst drunk doesn’t count.

20. Don’t ever agree to ‘freebie’ sex outside of a relationship. Whilst you might pick Brad Pitt or Jonny Depp in an amused, ‘it’s never going to happen’ way, we’ll pick more realistic targets. Then we’ll go for it.

21. If we’re inappropriate towards women or strangers; maybe if we’re starting down a slippery slope, tell us, but do it when we’re alone. When we begin to leave the room (see rule #11) persevere because it’s the only way you’ll get through to us. If you really want an inside tip, turn on the waterworks. It’s an old trick, but it still works most of the time. Just don’t overdo it because that’ll just annoy us.

22. Don’t ask a question about your appearance unless you want the truth because half the time, no, the dress doesn’t make your bum look big. Fishing for compliments and white lies is one of the least attractive things you do. Just be yourself; that’s why we liked you in the first place.

23. Trying to convince us you’re bisexual by kissing another girl only works with the stupidest men. Don’t let that stop you though.

24. Say you want to go for a meal, ask us where we want to go and we say, ‘I’m not bothered,’ don’t assume we don’t like the idea. Unless we say otherwise we’d love to dine out with you but the company’s what’s important, not the locale.

25. Don’t expect a response to every single text you send, particularly if most are asinine. We have jobs, we have responsibilities and we have phone bills; all are more important than replying to, ‘What did you have for lunch?”

to the sensual experience of simply being with a man and in
touch with your surroundings we are irrisistable to him.

Contrary to what we women have been taught, men actually love it when we express our feelings.  Because they are “thinking” creatures, our ability to be feminine and emotional is what attracts men and mesmerizes them.  It’s true.   When we’re in touch with our feelings and express them in a non-dramatic, non-blaming way, a man melts and we are very attractive to him.  He then feels safe to get in touch with his own feelings and share them with us.

So how do we really feel our feelings in a way that works for attracting men?  One of the easiest, most enjoyable ways is to make sensual activities a daily habit – a part of your life.  This way, being a sensual creature becomes second nature to you.  A great way to do this is to get out your art supplies and try this simple Tool I created.

How To Attract Him By Getting In Touch With You

1.  Get a simple piece of paper and a pencil—the softer the pencil, the better.

2.  Pick a time when you have at least 1/2 hour to yourself this first time (You only need 10 minutes after you get the hang of it), and put yourself somewhere where no one will bother you, talk to you, or call you.

3.  Find a table and a chair, clear off the table, and put a few simple objects on it – an apple, a cup, a vase – large, simple shapes.

4.  Sit down, and shake out your arms.

5.  Hold the pencil lightly for now, and just look at the objects.

6.  Pick one of the objects.  Really, really look at it.  What we’re doing here is changing the way you see things, the way you look at things, and slowing down the process of how you see and experience things.

7.  As you look at the object, move your hand easily over the paper without touching the pencil down, without drawing anything.

8.  Really look at that object.  See if you can see the entire shape of it, like it’s all one shape.  Now look at the detail of it – see if you can see how the light hits it, where the shine is, how the curves curve, what it’s like where the object meets the table.

9.  Now just touch your pencil down to the paper, and let it draw the whole shape of the object lightly without lifting up the pencil. Keep your hand flowing, and don’t worry about what your drawing looks like.

10.  Now slowly notice the smaller details about the object – a curve, a shadow, a shape, a shine – and sort of draw it. Just explore it on the page for longer than you normally would.

11.  This is almost like touching the object, only you’re doing it pencil to paper.  Don’t worry about getting anything “right.”

12.  Now – here’s the “therapy” part:  I want you to notice if you’re tense in your shoulders, and if you’re trying to “accomplish” anything.  Notice if you’re worried about the time, or the foolishness of this, or if you feel like you’re in a hurry to get a picture done and “done right.”

13.  Breathe.  Slow your hand down on the paper; slow your mind down by just focusing on the object.

14. If you have time, move your attention to one of the other objects, and follow the same steps.

Now, how do you use this to attract a man?

Let’s say you go to a party, or a restaurant, or a bar. There are lots and lots of people around, it’s noisy, and it even feels overwhelming.

First, see the room as a whole, just the way you did the object.  If you were to draw it, there would be one big space with lots of small movement in it.

Then if one man (or the man you’re with) comes close, see him as both a detail of the space – the way you did the curve of the cup or the angle of the teapot handle you were drawing – and then as a whole.

“Take him in” the way you took in the object you were drawing.

Now look at all his details – his eyes, his mouth, his hair – just observe and BE WITH him and his details the way you’ve practiced being with the objects you’ve been drawing.

Slow down.  Breathe, smile.  Experience.

The idea is that you are giving yourself over to the sensual experience of simply being with a man and in touch with your surroundings.  You are fully in the moment, and, more importantly, not in your head.  When you’re in touch with your senses and can share your feelings with a man, you will connect to his heart in a very powerful way that is irresistibly attractive to him.

Why blame it all on the apple?

Poor Eve, she is given a bad wrap for eating the forbidden fruit and then seducing Adam onto the path of ruin.

A foretaste, for the future Adam isn’t man enough to simply say no – and then he tries not only to blame Eve, but to blame god for making her.

Hmmm have things ever changed?

Since then it seems that female passions, and the delicious apple have had a bad rap.

But is it necessarily so?Why pick on the apple?

For a start no mention of Eve eating an apple is found in the Good Book.

It is the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and bad. Besides, the apple was unlikely to be found east of the Mediterranean.

So why is the apple such an enduring symbol of seduction?

Whatever your beliefs,  the Bible – and later cultural corruptions and adaption’s layered on to it , have laid a psychological foundation for men and women’s lives.

For good and bad ….

At Eve’s creation Adam recognizes she is an integral part of himself and called ish (woman) where as he is ish 9man) and for this reason a man and woman leave father and mother and become one flesh.

OK that sounds a bit like cute mythology to me – or perhaps a theological treatise… What’s that got to do with my love life?

Either way Adam and Eve seem to be given intellectual (and sexual?) awareness.

After Adam tries to pin the blame on Eve when, in fact, he didn’t have the guts to simply say ‘no’.

No wonder women today try to be more like men – if men wont act like men, then someone has too ….

Adam ties to even blame Godfor making her. He then names her H?avvah (Eve) because she was “the Mother of all Living” (Gen. 3:20),

Christianity refers to Eve as a warning to Christians (II Cor. 11:3), and stresses Adam’s precedence. It was Eve who was deceived so she should be submissive, bare foot and pregnant.

OK not quiet – I exaggerate:

It actually says women ought to be submissive and find their fulfillment in childbearing (I Tim. 2:11–15; I Cor.11:8–12). How those verses should  sometimes taken is open to debate.

In the Quran, the name Eve (Ar. H?aww?), is not given in the Quran – she is called the “spouse” in the account of her sin against Allah and for been influenced by Ibl?s or the Satan (7:18, 20:115).

How does this relate to the sexy apple of Eden?

Early Christian writers such as Justin and Irenaeus both contrast and compare Eve to Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Jewish mysticism takes the erotic poetry of Song of Songs as a symbol of G-d s love for the Jewish people.  The Christian apostle Paul speaks of the congregation as the bride of Christ.

“It was while Eve was still a virgin that the word of the devil crept in to erect an edifice of death. Likewise through a virgin the Word of God was introduced to set up a structure of life” wrote Tertulian in The Flesh of Christ (17:4).

“Thus what had been laid waste in ruin by this sex was by the same sex reestablished in salvation. Eve had believed the serpent; Mary believed Gabriel. That which the one destroyed by believing, the other, by believing, set straight”

This comparison is rejected by Protestants.

The New Testament does encourage being a eunuch for the sake of the Kingdom (Mt. 19. 10-12) with singleness for those devoted to religious service (1 cor 7:33, 34) it  clearly condemns as ‘hypocritical liars’ those who forbid marriage (1 Tim. 4:2, 3).

However, the increasingly patriarchal world that developed put the screws on women.

In 1987 Mary Hayter (The New Eve in Christ: The Use and Abuse of the bible in theDebate about women in the Church) argued that theabsense of women priests on Hebrew liturgy was to remain distinct from the fertility cults of other peoples.

A check of the ancient world may reveal a few intriguing hints about the apple.

But first let’s revisit the legendary history of Eve on Western thought.

When the Hebrew bible was first translated into Greek chavvah was called Z?? (life).

Was Eve originally a goddess who was demythologized by the biblical writer? Or do other belief systems hint at the same creation story in their own way, as some believers would have us believe?

Anyway, later Rabbis connected the name with Aramaic h?ewy? (serpent) since the serpent was her undoing and that she was her husband’s “serpent.” It was part of the plan, according to Kabbalah, to have man appreciate that he is happier when he returns to the creator .

Of course you can be a little more secular about this ….

Recent scholars point out that there was a Phoenician deity mentioned in a stela from Carthage called h?wt, probably Hawwat. Whether a serpent goddess we are not sure- it can only be guessed assuming Aramaic etymology.

Eve is said to have been made from Adams ??l? or side and in the Hebrew book of Job (18:12) the word is an epithet meaning wife. The word rib is not used in the Eden account..

However, the Sumerian Paradise Myth of Enki and Ninhursag, Enki has a pain in his rib so caused the goddess Nin-ti, or  “Lady of the Rib,” to be created from him.

The Sumerian logogram ti means both “rib” and “life,” states the Encyclopedia Judaica.

In the later Aggadah, a two-tiered, literal-allegorical treatise from the Aramaic word meaning tales or lore, Eve was created after Adams first wife, Lilith, left him. Of course, you don’t find that in the Bible.

The Aggadah claims she was made from the 13th rib.

“God chose not to create her from Adam’s head, lest she be swellheaded; nor from his eye, lest she be a flirt; nor from his ear, lest she be an eavesdropper; nor from his mouth, lest she be a gossip; nor from his heart, lest she be prone to jealousy; nor from his hand, lest she be thievish; nor from his foot, lest she be a gadabout (Gen. R. 18:2)” writes the Encyclopedia Judaica..

Either way Eve was a stunner (BB 58a) and Adam immediately embraced and kissed her and then runs into the famous poem about being bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh.

Angels dance, beating their tumbrels and even guard the bridal chamber (P RE 12), claims the Aggadah tradition.

Is there any psychological lesson in all of this? Perhaps a theological secret hidden in the wording?

Perhaps ….

When Adam first named his wife Ishah ( ???? ), and himself Ish ( ,(???) there is an intriguing twist in the spelling.

Now I don’t expect you, dear reader, to follow any religious homily …..

I ask you to look at it with an agnostic reserve … see if there is any message in it for you…

The Genesis account spells the names with the addition of the letter yod to his name and the letter he to

Hers.

Why? Yod-He form part of the unpronounced Divine Name. The Aggadah suggests  that as long as they walked in a godly path, the Divine Name (Yod-He) would protect them.

But….

Go astray and the sacred name is withdrawn, leaving only the word esh ( meaning fire which would consume them both.

I don’t know what you think of this story. A jealous Samael (Satan), using  a serpent to mislead Eve, or  another tradition that claims the serpent had his eye on her for himself (Sot.9b; Shab. 196a) – it has inspired great art and literature.

Immediately on sinning, claims the Aggadah, she sees the Angel of Death and expects imminent execution.

Determined to Adam can’t take another wife after her death she  gets him to eat too. (P RE 13).

So is Eve a tempter leading us to death? Much like a death dealing skeleton holding an apple.

But what about the apple?

Since the dawn of time, the apple was a symbol of ecstasy, fertility, abundance and love.

Gaia gave apples to Hera as symbol of long love and union when Hera married Zeus. Dionysus, creator of the apple, used it to woo Aphrodite.

“In Athens newlyweds divided and ate an apple when they entered the bridal chamber. Sending or tossing apples was a part of courtship. The Old Norse goddess Iduna guarded apples that brought eternal youth to whoever ate them. In the Celtic religion the apple was the symbol of knowledge handed down from ancestors” says the Dictionary of Symbolism.

“Wild crab-apples were gathered in ancient times, and full-sized varieties were already found in Central Europe in the Neolithic era.”

Split apart the apple resembles a vulva which can itself be symbolized  by the vesica pisces.

Called the mandorla (Italian for almond) by the church it was the symbol in Gothic art that bridged heaven and earth.  Mary and the Jesus child are depicted in it.

It is also the scalloped shell symbol of Aphrodite, among other legends.

Conjuring images of the vulva, it signified feminine love & beauty.

In some sacred geometric traditions, it is the womb of creation.

In Hinduism, the Sanskrit word Yoni means “source or origin of life”.

According to The Encyclopedia of Religion the word also has a wider meaning in both profane and spiritual contexts, including “spring, fountain, place of rest, repository, receptacle, seat, abode, home, lair, nest, stable”. It is also etymologically derived from the root yuj—like yoga and yogini—meaning, “to join, unite, fasten, or harness.”

Used by John Demartini, It is also a symbol of unity and a metaphor for successful relationships..

Imagine tow circles side by side. Like two lovers separated and in opposition, when we highlight difference we develop resentment.

When the circles are completely over lapping, one eclipsing the other, one circle loses identity. The same happens when a relationship is  infatuated.

Unity in diversity  achieved at the point of intersection when we remain separate but connected by agreement.

The point of intersection – or vesica pisces – depicted that resembles the opened apple.

Ok that a  nice metaphor but let’s be real …

In the Middle Ages “visual embodiments of the ideal women described in love poetry and romances, with their long blonde hair, fair complexions, swelling bellies, and high, apple-like breasts.”

According to Freud, the apple, is the primary symbol for breasts, especially when there are two. Jung said they are the symbol of life, an ancient fertility symbol. The golden apple for instance was a symbol of immortality.

Figs, quince or pomegranates have been linked to fertility – and the Tree in the garden of Eden. pears, apples, figs, and peaches (and eggs) have been linked to the female womb, even interchangeable for femininity..

However, the Latin church also noted the similarity of the Latin words for “apple” (malus, malum) and for “bad, evil, sin” (malum).

Hidden behind the enticing sweetness of the apple is the enticement of sin.

“Paintings of Christ’s birth show him reaching out for an apple, symbolically taking the sins of the world upon himself; apples on a European Christmas tree suggest that Christ’s birth makes possible a return to the state of innocence that preceded the Fall”claims the Dictionary of Symbolism.

Yet “in baroque art the skeleton of death often is holding an apple: the price of original sin is death.”

The apple is both symbol of life and sin.

But then, so is the vagina. The vulva, symbolized by the mandorla is linked to Mary and Jesus and to the gates of hell..

“A folio leaf from a fourteenth-century Flemish Book of Hours  includes a phrase from the text of the Psalms, “I said in the midst of my days I shall go to the gates of Hell,” as well as an image in the bas-de-page of a man being led to bed by a woman” writes Matha Easton in “Was It Good For You, Too?” Medieval Erotic Art and Its Audiences.”

“The “hell mouth” is both the entrance to the bedchamber and to the body of the woman herself, the woman as the gates of hell an analogy made by writers from Tertullian to Boccaccio.

“But here the gates of hell do not seem particularly threatening, the man seemingly a willing participant in his damnation” she wrote.

Later the Cathar inspired ideas of Courtly love idealized – almost deified  an ideal love that transcended the bedroom.

This “true love” was not the ordinary human love between husband and wife but rather the worship of a feminine saviour, a mediator between God and man, who waited in the sky to welcome the “pure”  with a holy kiss and lead him or her into the Realm of Light” claimed Robert Johnson in We: Understanding the Psychology of Romantic Love.

Johnson argues that psychologically the modern era began in the 12th century and in allegorizing and deifying love, the chivalrous tradition of knights in shining armour made love even harder to attain.

“That revolution finally matured into what we call romanticism. The Western men began to look on woman as the embodiment of all what is pure, sacred and whole, woman became the symbol of a anima, ‘My Lady Soul’” wrote Johnson.

Perhaps women have been laid low by an impossible idealization of being either Whores or God’s Police.

It’s time to realize that we are made sexual beings and enjoy it.

Celebrate the apple of love and our apple breasts and be fully human.

Getting Started – Opening

What is opening?

Essentially, it’s the first 3-90 seconds of an interaction with a woman, whereby you begin a conversation.

With opening, there is good news and bad news.

The bad news is that opening can be very scary.

Men are biologically predisposed to be incredibly nervous when starting a conversation with a woman that we don’t know. There are good evolutionary-biological reasons for this (in prehistoric times, approaching an unknown woman without permission or an introduction could lead to violent retaliation from her extended family), but that’s probably not a lot of comfort.

So, that nervous feeling you get and the little voices that pop into your head looking for excuses NOT to talk to that beautiful woman are NORMAL. You need to learn to suppress them, but they are normal, and everyone – even Love Systems instructors – have them.

Some more bad news. We not only need to open, suppressing our built-in emotions, but we need to open well. Opening poorly can doom the rest of your interaction with a woman, and any other women who see it, making everything else you do a waste of time.

What’s the good news? With practice, it’s fairly easy. After learning from Love Systems, anyone should be opening successfully 99 times out of 100. Most experienced guys don’t even need to think about opening anymore.

The following tips will help get you started:

1.  Have a canned opener ready – This is NOT a night at the improv. Going “situational” (e.g., “it sure is crowded here” or “that’s a nice purse”) will rarely work.

Think about it. If a 22 year old woman has been going out 1 night per week since she was 18, and got approached 5 times in a night (and these numbers are major underestimations) she has been approached 1,000 times before you came along. Most of those 1,000 guys have tried something boring and situational. Use a canned opener – something that has been repeatedly tested with women and is proven to work.

If you don’t have even one opener, I’d suggest Magic Bullets or the Love Systems Routines Manual. If you don’t have these invaluable texts, do yourself a favor and spend the money to get them and have your openers ready before you even go to the club, coffee shop, lounge, etc.

2.  3-2-1-GO! - When you see a girl you like: GO! Open her group immediately. Failure to do this will “stale you out.” Women like confidence. They don’t like to be stalked.

They like spontaneity. Wandering around circling her, looking at her, trying to figure out what to do next will turn her off and creep her out. Get into the habit of seeing a group of people, and GOING IN.

You’ve already got your opener ready, right?

3. Approach at an angle - Do not walk straight up to the group. Approach at an angle, tilt your head over your shoulders, and say your piece. Done correctly (and you almost need to see it to do it properly), you raise your value significantly by demonstrating that you do not need their attention or approval.

4. Smile on the approach – Don’t grin like a moron through the entire interaction, but smile as you walk to the set, and in the first few seconds of the opener. Smile with your eyes, not just your mouth. It may sound silly, but smiles can (and should) be practiced in front of a mirror.

5. Be loud enough – Everyone in the group should hear your opener. Your opener should be loud enough that it cuts across whatever conversations they are already having. Don’t shout, but make it socially awkward for them not to pay attention to your opener. Practice opening – loudly – from your chest, not your throat. If you put your hand on your chest, you should be able to talk in two ways: one in which you can feel the vibrations on your hand, and one where you can’t. Train yourself to speak in the way where you can feel the vibrations.

6. Don’t lean in – This is connected to being loud enough. You should project your voice enough that they can hear you from a normal standing position (or leaning slightly back).

7. Engage the group – Do NOT go into a group and talk to the woman you want to meet (the target). Engage the whole group. Pay LESS attention to the woman you are interested in.

8. Playfully tease the target - Teasing is a major tool for triggering attraction. The hotter the girl, the quicker you have to tease. It demonstrates higher social value, and women are attracted to men that they perceive as having higher social status than they perceive themselves to have. I’ve seen some of our instructors open with teasing, and many will begin teasing the target within the first 10 seconds of their openers.

Another crucial element of opening is ending it. The opener should be something short, to grab the group’s attention, and be emotionally neutral. As soon as you spot an opportunity, you should transition into get the girl attracted.

“This man loved mysterious Nature as a lover loves his distant beloved”

Who was the man? The scientist Faraday.

The writer? Albert Einstein.

Perhaps this love affair can be said of Einstein himself.

When I think of Einstein I wonder whether he is also a model of what it means to follow your heart.

Like a lover, Einstein’s is rich in paradoxes and contradictions.

A dialectic thinker, Einstein is as logical as a Talmudist and yet he is emotionally involved as a mystic.

He loudly praised the power of intuition in his thinking. Yet he did not rely entirely on .guess work. His work can be mathematically derived from the most mechanistic science.

Yet he inspires public imagination far beyond science.

Sadly I cannot re-find the source, however I once read a historian argue that 1919 began the modern error. Observations recorded at an eclipse confirmed his predictions.

Meanwhile the world was still in shock.

The Russian and Austro-Hungarian monarchies had fallen in world War I. Pride in mans mechanistic invincibility sunk in 1912 with the Titanic. Communism was claiming social equality.

Out of the blue there seemed proof that everything is relative. Nothing is absolute. Far beyond the realm of Albert’s science, people tried to mold society – and everything else – around his theory.

Too many Einstein was made a god.

However, Einstein battled against any statistical interpretation as a final theory and sought a deterministic solution.

In reality, Einstein did not teach everything is relative at all.

He argued that space-time was relative because there was one absolute: The speed of light. At least when measured in a vacuum.

He  reminds me of Beethoven, who extended classicism to a point that empowered the Romantic period but returned to – or at least remained routed in his classical routes.

“The eternal mystery of the world is its Comprehensibility” said Einstein. “The fact that it is comprehensible is a miracle.”

Rich in its scope, Einstein sought to understand objective, nature independent of human and to understand how people and God thinks.

“We are facing a wonderful psychological paradox: the almost unbearable tension between the deep humility Einstein the scientist feels toward Nature and the boundless hubris of presuming that he can enter God’s mind” wrote Yehuda Elkana in Einstein and God.

In Einstein’s own words:  “My religiosity consists of a humble admiration of the infinitely superior spirit that reveals itself in the little that we can comprehend of the knowable world. That deeply emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible universe, forms my idea of God.”

“The development of that mental world is a continual flight from ‘wonder’” he said.

Standing in awe of it all and admiring nature’s grand incomprehensibility he at once is emotionally aware of how little we know while working tirelessly to know it all.

He employed his creative brain is well known.

“I very rarely think in words at all”, he said in an interview with Max Wertheimer . “A thought comes and I may try to express it in words afterwards.”

It is not surprising that transcendental materialist (to borrow from Rasoul Sorkhabi) like Einstein would enjoy the universal thought of india.

‘[I] have the greatest admiration for Gandhi and for the Indian tradition in general’ said Einstein in 1950.

Einstein used to refer to Rabindranath Tagore as Rabbi Tagore, who he met first in 1912 and later in 1930.

In theirfirst meeting, Tagore argued that ‘the truth of the Universe is human truth . . . when our universe is in harmony with man, the eternal, we know it as truth, we feel it as beauty.’

Tagore believed that Tagore insists that ‘truth is realized through man’.

However, Einstein replied: ‘I agree with regard to this conception of Beauty, but not with regard to Truth.’ It was Einstein who coined the term objective reality.

In a debate that reminds me of the recent explanations of the Law of Attraction in What The Bleep Do We Know Einstein argues ‘if nobody is in this house, yet that table remains where it is.’

‘Yes, it remains outside of the individual mind but not the universal mind” replied Tagore. ”The table which I perceive is perceptible only by the same kind of consciousness which I possess.’

Tagore wrote “in human reason, facts assume a unity of truth which is only possible to a human mind.’

While Tagore and Einstein debated whether nature was dependent or not on human observation. Was Einstein’s use of intuition close to an experiential, rather than intellectual discovery?

Yehuda Elkana argues that Einstein ‘ ‘experienced’ time and space, or light, in a way which clashed with that much of classical physics that he knew at the time, and he started to wonder – not in signs – but by some other means, and probably unconsciously.”

“Perhaps his – or our- luck was that when this process started, the accepted concepts were NOT so deeply fixed within his mind. “

Is Elkana suggesting that Einstein’s thinking was a formative journey  that would not have taken full flight if he had purely relied on Mechanistic science?

“If he now tried to understand how God thought about the world, he surely must have deduced that the conventional concepts, i.e. the then accepted physics, were not those in terms of which God had thought, and indeed created the world. “

In contrast “that if ever anybody could possibly know all that is knowable, in a deterministic world, would mean having god-like knowledge.”

Yet even Einstein recognizes scientific models are subject to humanity.

“Man tries to make for himself in the fashion that suits him best a simplified and intelligible picture of the world” said Einstein in a speech in honour of Max Plancks 60^th birthday.

“He then tries to some extent to substitute this cosmos of his for the world of experience, and thus to overcome it.”

“This is what the painter, the poet, the speculative philosopher, and the natural scientist do,each in his own fashion” he said. “Each makes his cosmos and its construction the pivot of his emotional life.”

Today, the modern world has gifted us metaphors that can help expand our thinking and to develop a more all embracing world view. However many of the past traditions had already developed incredibly complex universalist perspectives.

Some come to similar conclusions by looking within. Others come to similar views by searching the vast travel-log of space and time.

The temples of science and religion mirror in a small way the universes infinitude.

Perhaps it is because people who are truly great live a passionate vision far greater than we mere mortals can imagine.

Leopold Infeld, Einstein’s colleague and biographer, imagined Einstein in terms of an Indian sage.

“In seeking to understand Einstein’s appeal to the imagination of so many of his fellow men, a strange comparison comes to my mind. In a village in India there is a wise old saint. He sits under a tree and never speaks. The people look at his eyes directed toward heaven. They do not know the thoughts of this old man because he is always silent. But they form their own image of the saint, a picture that comforts them. They sense deep wisdom and kindness in his eyes . . . . Perhaps the real greatness of Einstein lies in this simple fact that, though in his life he has gazed at the stars, yet he also tried to look at his fellow men with kindness and compassion.”

Perhaps this is the passion – and compassion – we should all aspire.

Is Sexting digital adultery?

Recently blogger Rebecca Ammon argued that adultery is as common in modern relationships as breakups.

Sexting enthusiasts often use smart phones to flirt and to line up booty-calls, she writes. “Cybersex was the adultery of the ancients. Now our virtual flirting has become quicker, easier, and illustrated with digital pictures and videos.”

Pointing out she has not run off to copulate with any on her sexting list she asks whats the harm?

That got me thinking. Traditionalists fear that man will go off the rails if not give no controls. In practice, more tolerant people seem to enjoy happier families than the dogmatically religious.

Of course, people can be extremely spiritual and religious while not being dogmatic.

It just seems that sometimes we allow our need to assert our institutions and traditions over those of others.

I think there is great value in the power of religion to encourage people to seek and refine the soul.

Its just that 99% od us sink into a traditional void of self justification and ego driven self service – sometimes in the name of the religion we hold dear.

When any belief structure helps us to assess our priority of values and match them to serve the values of others then it can change the world.

But how can you do it?

When we are chasing as many dates as we can handle, we are hoping to find the one. When we settle with one, our mind easily admires the many.

We at once yearn for a unity of soul and fight disparate yearning.

To familiar we infatuate then, to different and we despise them.

Biology is real and so are the the disowned parts of the soul that comeback to haunt our souls ans our societies.

The balance is found in living by our own hierarchy of values while seeking to honor the values of those we hold dear.

It is madness to expect others to follow our own values if they cannot see how their own values will be met.

The question is how?

We are affected by many influences. We cannot deny the effect of biology on our morality. However, should we seek to go beyond and be even better than what lusts propel us toward?

Is religion a “sort of parasitic meme that exploits the existing architecture of the human mind” to quote Psychology Today or an adaptive strategy “inspiring group cohesiveness or helping us stay in line when we’re not sure whether anyone is watching.”

A recent study of 987 revealed you could predict if a person would have liberal views about drugs by simply asking whether sex without love is OK.

Asked about their personalities, sensitivities, and moral views, their religion, politics, and personality mattered less than what evolutionary psychologists call mating strategy.

Another study  “found the strongest predictors of attending church were those related to sexual and family values (opposition to infidelity, to premarital sex, to abortion, and the like). When we statistically controlled for the sexual and family value items, the links between religious attendance and the other moral values disappeared.”

Perhaps seeing a sexy girl in church might inspire a moment of religious devotion? The hillsong church in Australia has been accused of using lusciously attractive female to help stock its amply attended  Hillsong Church.

I am not a member and think the critics just have sour grapes – they need not worry.

Seeing a lot of highly attractive and available may make you profess more belief in God, states  the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology.But not in the way you may have guessed.

According to the study “women professed more religious piety when they saw beautiful women; men were more likely to look to the heavens when they saw a lot of handsome men.”

Researchers Kurzban and DeScioli believe that “moral beliefs are not so much about trying to inspire me to do the right thing myself, as they are about trying to control your behavior in ways that support my reproductive goals.”

This fits research that conservative attitudes about sex and reproduction are at the heart of people’s participation in traditional religious groups.  Attitudes about sex and family are causes of religious attendance, and not just effects of religious training, according to Psychology Today.

Before you send me to hell for suggesting we should throw all religion into the garbage. Let it be clear I am not claiming knowledge for or against the divine.

I don’t need to know about foreknowledge or absolute truth to know that people do experience hunches, intuitions, and moments that are so often right when they look within.

I have simply began to learn to listen. This subconscious realm seems to better be able to computer multiple complex decisions.

We are complex beings, biology does – and must –influence our thinking. So does the human yearning to find a greater meaning.

Whether there is an energy body in the silence, I am sure seeking it can enhance compassion. However, society, including religion, puts detaches us from the inner realm.

History constantly reminds us that we attract people, lovers and children that manifest our soul disowned parts. So do societies.

The more we fight it the worse it gets. Rules may be needed -  it’s just that excessive rules always eventually give way and are followed by moments of excessive demands for freedoms.

On the flip side, unrestrained freedom eventually is found wanting and bankrupt. Like the dissatisfied child who never earned his way, the pleasure becomes meaningless.

This brings me back to Rebecca Ammon’s point about sexting.

Rebecca is right to say that cheating is nothing new. Trying to force my values will not change you – nor would you change me.

However, we are not an island; we all synergistically effect each other.

So I encourage you to consider how we can both meet our own value system in a way that empower s other s to live by theirs.

As history teaches us – the more I understand you, the more you are likely to become the person I admire around me.

Rats may become sexy after a sip of java, but pumping tea may dump your sex drive and worsen your rheumatism.

According to Annual Congress of the European League Against Rheumatism in Rome, Italy, women who large amounts of tea increase their risk of Rheumatoid Arthritis which negatively affect their emotional relationships and sex lives.

A French study of 1,271 patients with an average age 64 found a strong correlation between RA disease severity and impact on sex life.

Athough , 98% of this group were receiving treatment, 66% stated their rheumatoid arthritis harmed their sexual relationships. It was the sole reason why 40% said they were not sexually active.

A decrease or lost libido effected 47%, and joint pain or stiffness in 24% with a moderate to severe level of impact on their physical functioning.

Significant emotional consequences effected 39% who felt guilt and frustration.

Despite the high physical and emotional impact of the arthritis , 72% admitted they had never talked about how their sexuality was effected with their doctor – 66% were unwilling and 62% said did not need help.

How will java effect my sex life and joints?

Drinking any amount of tea carried a significant risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis according to a US longitudinal study of 76,643 women. Especially those who drank and women who drank 24 cups of tea a day.

Their was no increased risk for coffee drinkers, regardless of whether the coffee as filtered, unfiltered, caffeinated or not.

The study used age-adjusted models and in multivariate Cox proportional hazard models and included a three year follow up.

“How do I know if a girl is interested in me? I find it hard to read her attraction to me when I’m so busy trying to show her my self-confidence?”

The key to this question is understanding your correct attitude: You don’t NEED her to like you. It’s okay to WANT it, but don’t become so attached to every encounter with a woman that you end up NEEDING her to like you. That’s the train to nowhere, and it will leave soon if you even begin to go that route.

There are many indicators of a girl’s interest in you. You just have to know where to look. The primary three are these:
1 – Actions (What she does that indicates her interest obviously)
2 – Words (what she says to you)
3 – Body language (what she does that indicates her interest subtly)

These are also in order. You trust her actions first, her words next, and her body language after that. If you’re getting clear buying signals in her actions, ignore her words. If you get interest from her words, ignore her body movements. Your last resort is to interpret her body language.

1) The first indicator is her actions to tell you she likes you. Always watch what she does first, and ignore her words if they don’t jive with the way she behaves. Here are a short list of “she’s interested” indicators:
- She touches you or leans in close
- She makes it a point to smell your cologne
- She takes you along with her to another bar/dance club
- She initiates conversation with you
- She asks for your number (but only if she asks before or after giving hers. If she refuses to give you her number, she’s not interested.)
- She looks you over (especially glances at your mouth)

2) The next thing you listen to is her words. What does she say to you? Here’s a list of things that indicate her interest verbally:
- She asks a lot of questions about you
- She talks about sexual topics (without you initiating them)
- She uses very sensual words when describing you
- She tells you secrets (indicating trust)

3) This next list is more difficult, since you will have to refine your radar as to what her body language is saying. It’s much more subtle, and more difficult to read. Again, I always suggest that you make sure to judge her body language only when you have no other evidence to help you out.

Here are some buying indicators:
- Occasional glance(s) from far away
- Looks at you a few times (flickering glances at your lips)
- Holds your gaze for a moment with no words
- Looks down, then away
- Goes out of her way to laugh with you
- Posture changes, looks alert
- Covers her mouth or touches her face
- Adjusts hair, attire
- Faces you
- Alert, energetic
- Pupils are dilated
- Open posture (arms uncrossed)

Remember that your primary indication of interest from any woman is in her behavior. No matter what she says, if she isn’t DOING the things that a woman that would do who is interested (smiles and talks to you, shows interest, gives you her phone number, etc.) she isn’t REALLY interested. She’s just trying to not hurt your feelings.

Results are the TRUTH!

In the study of more than 1,000 unmarried young adults between the ages of 18 and 23 living in South Florida. Professor  Simon challenges the long-held assumption that women are more vulnerable to the emotional rollercoaster of relationships.

Young men try to present a tough face but were more affected emotionally by the quality of relationships while women tended to be more affected by whether they had a relationship or not and by break ups.

The study “Nonmarital Romantic Relationships and Mental Health in Early Adulthood: Does the Association Differ for Women and Men?”by Dr Simon and Anne Barrett, Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Florida State University, was published  in Journal of Health and Social Behavior.

The study examined potential links between symptoms of depression and substance dependence and abuse with different relationship dimensions.

Unhappy romances  take a greater emotional toll on men than women, said Simon  They just express their distress differently than women.

Men get greater emotional benefits from the positive aspects of an ongoing romantic relationship, she said. They are also more effected by the support and strain in an ongoing relationship.

“Women express emotional distress with depression while men express emotional distress with substance problems,” said Simon. “Surprisingly, we found young men are more reactive to the quality of ongoing relationships.”

This may be because young men rely on their romantic partner as their primary source of intimacy. Whereas  women are more likely to have a number of close family and friend relationships.

Or the strain in a romantic relationship threatens young men’s sense of identity and feelings of self-worth.

Young women were more likely to get depression when it comes to an end, or feel a greater benefit from simply being in a relationship.

We still have a lot to learn about relationships in early adulthood and more research is needed on this stage of life when young adults tend to be focused on the self, exploring identity, and forging new relationships, said Simon.

The study highlights the need to consider the period in the life course as well as experiences of specific cohorts of men and women when theorizing about gender differences in the importance of intimate relationships for mental health.

When Dating Why is body language so important?

A lot of guys think what you say is the most important thing when it comes to attracting women. That couldn’t be further from the truth. It doesn’t matter what you say, it is how you say it. With the “how” I mean your tone of voice, facial expressions, body language, and what we call “subcommunications” and “subtext”.

A lot of guys ask me on the forums and in emails how they can improve their body language so they can better approach and attract women. It’s hard to show it to them because it is something you have to see.

A lot of body language is very subtle and that is hard to convey in text. You can read about body language in books but it’s not the same as when you can visually see it.

A couple months ago I flew to London to work with Vercetti, who is a trained Shakespearean actor and fellow Love Systems coach, to make this DVD home study course. We wanted to share our newest and proven methods to attract women using non-verbal communication.

Instead of writing a book, we decided to make a DVD because you can visually learn how to improve your body language. With help of Mr M, Keychain and 5.0 we also made an extra segment on physical escalation. Again, touching and physical escalation (“kino”) can be better taught by using a visual medium.

What is one tip you give so that someone can improve their body language right now?

The simplest thing you can do today is to work on your posture. In the DVD we cover the Alexander technique on how that can improve your posture dramatically. Trained actors use this all the time.

Girls will reject you before you even approach if you have bad posture, because it subcommunicates a lot of bad things about you. This goes especially for guys who have sit behind a computer a lot.

A simple exercise you can do is to do row exercises at the gym and squats. Also, whenever you sit behind your desk, be conscious of your posture. Don’t slouch, sit tall and keep your back erect. If you buy a swiss ball and use that as your chair behind your desk, you will be forced to sit up straight and it will fix your posture that way too.
